What To Wear For Your Photo Session
This question is asked to us on a daily basis and on many days multiple times. What should we wear for our photo session. In many cases if you want to match that is fine and you already have that question answered. Denim on denim on denim it is…I hope you know that was a joke. Unless of course you want to rock the Canadian tuxedo. But let’s get real for a moment, this is a topic that most worry about to no end. We are hear to make one thing clear there are really only a few rules that we follow but enjoy stray once and awhile form them.
Try not to wear anything with a visible logo. Unless of course this session is to sell Nike clothing maybe you shouldn’t wear that hoodie with the giant swoosh across the front. Also unless you are being paid by a company to wear there clothing I wouldn’t go out of my way to wear it. Your wardrobe should reflect the season and a color scheme you may be going after but not too much should be taken away from the people these images are capturing. You can also strive to be more on the timeless side with your clothing. Maybe a solid color versus a pattern that is trendy just to avoid that obvious joke 20 years down the line.
One of the main ideas we pass along is try to wear something that is comfortable but looks nice. So that’s a no for the jogging pants and snuggie. Although both are comfortable you may look a little too comfortable for your photo session. This is especially worth a thought if the session includes children. If they are not comfortable it will show, children do not lie. They are the most honest humans around, if the do not like something they will let you know.
