Recent 365 Instagram Work

If you have been following on Instagram you would already know that I am well into the stretch run of my first attempt at taking one photo a day for the year. Although it has been a little difficult at times getting the camera out for a non paying purpose it has helped my eye in looking for different things. I have always found Toronto fascinating for photography. There are just so many options for awesome images in and around every corner. It has been the focus of most of my 365 shooting and I love it so much that I will continue into 2018. I may lean towards having a theme but I am not 100% sure of it. If there is one clowns will not be involved for sure.

The last few weeks have seen the seasons change from Summer to Fall to Winter and back to Summer. But it’s Canada and as we say if you don’t like the weather wait a few minutes. As the leaves changed colors and started to fall I took a few trips to High Park to capture my favorite season in all of it’s glory. Not sure why Fall is my favorite season but pumpkin spice has nothing to do with it. Motion started to become something I was looking out for while on my walks and I shared a few of those images on Instagram. Although I did get pretty close to a few train tracks I was somewhat careful.

West Toronto is where our studio is located and it has a few awesome spots for graffiti, either in an alley or right on a main street. Most of the graffiti you see has always been pure art to me every since I was a child. Not the tagging but the full wall murals you see, they are truly great and I seek them out. In Toronto you can find those everywhere I choose to capture only those that catch my eye. I just feel like in the future what we see everyday now will be non existent somehow. Just like telephone booths, cars on the ground and the Maple Leafs not winning Stanley Cups.

My wife has been on a look out for an old school bike for the longest time. Not just any bike would do and when we found THE ONE on one of our antique hunts it had to come home with us. But I wanted to shoot it first. She had plans to paint it all blue and have it in a prominent corner of our backyard. The tire you see below is part of that bike which is very cool and only cost us $30.
