Amanda & Joe Glendon Collage Campus

Amanda & Joe Glendon Collage Campus

Amanda and Joe and their families have been clients of ours since day one way back in 1987. If we had a dollar for every blog post that starts with a similar sentence we would have quite a few loonies. They were married this past September and we held out on their post for the great testimonial below. It is always nice to get feedback from people. But to take the time to put words together is always a blessing, especially kind words like there are below. Their formal images were taken on the Glendon Collage Campus right here in beautiful Toronto. Now without further adieu the kind words from Amanda and Joe plus their awesome images from their awesome day.

Studio Cabral are amazing photographers! Chris and George both did our engagement shoot and we had George and his videographer associate for our whole wedding day. The whole team is phenomenal. The day went without a hitch and we thank Studio Cabral for not only capture the most unforgettable day of our lives, but also making sure everything was done on time and on schedule. George and Chris are always a pleasure to work with and through the entire process were always accessible and informative. Their support calmed us during our anxieties and reassured us. We would never use another photographer for anything!!! We look forward to further milestones so that we can use Studio Cabral again and again!

Carla & Ian – Benares Historic House

Carla & Ian – Benares Historic House

We met Carla and Ian at her sister’s wedding in 2012. Carla told us that if she were ever crazy enough to get married we would have the job, a privilege for us to hear. Flash forward to 4 years later and both Carla and Ian were crazy enough to get married, and we were there as promised.
It is always a pleasure to shoot for a couple with so much love and who know how to have a great fun filled day. Both their ceremony and reception were held at the always wonderful Oasis Convention Centre.

A late winter wedding comes with many different challenges. The weather can be an issue of course, we are in Canada after all. But on a day when two awesome people tied the knot we tried our hardest to keep a straight face with all of the antics that this bridal party threw our way. We have been around most of them before so we knew what to expect. We can fill you in without too many details. We were given an early morning explanation on the benefits of marriage and how it compares to fruits in a weird way. We were treated to an impromptu ghost hunt, which was the single funniest moment so far this year. If that could be topped off it would only take a group piano rendition of Dancing Queen by Abba. Yes that happened, so glad we have the video footage to prove it. It was the very first time that we shot at the Benares Historic House and we are planning on returning soon, it had so many great spots. Carla and Ian were so great to work for and we wish them all the best in their new life together.

Cheers

Chris

Client Testimonials

Client testimonials are the fuel that keeps us going. From time to time we receive kind words that we can’t wait to share. This time we have a couple of client testimonials that we have received from a few recent commercial jobs that we have photographed with our traveling studio that brings the studio to you for your head shots.

I would like to tell everyone who may be interested in getting their photos done,
that I personally would not think of anyone else to handle my business photos in the future, other than your company.
I’ve been in real estate for many years and I’ve never felt so comfortable with a photographer before.
You were amazing, very professional, and made me feel comfortable.
Thanks for being so good at what you do!

Sincerely,
Jorie Presswood

Hey Chris and George
Normally, when I have pictures taken of me, I end up choosing the least painful one. You sent me 21 head shots and I am having difficulty choosing as they are all great. My family agrees, so I have delegated the choice to my wife and daughter, to narrow it down to two that I will use in my social media accounts…. Must be a the fine balance of the old hand and the young buck, that makes it work.

Well done.
Bill

Valentine’s Day Wedding

A Valentine’s Day wedding is such a great idea. What better day than the most romantic day of the year to get married. The one great positive is you will NEVER forget your anniversary, ever. We had the awesome opportunity to photograph Nobelia and Donny’s very intimate wedding at the historic Old Mill in Toronto on Valentine’s Day. They had a very simple request to get some out door images taken while it snowed. There was a little issue, it wasn’t snowing at all that day. In fact it was a few degrees warmer than normal for that time of year. But as most Toronto citizens know already, if you don’t like the weather wait 5 minutes. Just as we were headed back indoors after a very quick outdoor session the snow fell. Just like in a fairy tale, and we got the shot to prove it and it really wasn’t that cold for the outdoor session. So to those wanting your winter wedding and you would really want a random snowfall just keep telling yourself that it will happen today. That is all we did, positive thinking works.

Wisdom Jewellers

This past weekend we had the privilege of visiting and photographing our good friend Justin from Wisdoms Jewellers. We met Justin while we were photographing Vanessa and Mark’s wedding in the Dominican Republic this past summer and found that we had many similarities in our approaches to our businesses. With one being doing our very best in exceeding our clients expectations over and over again. With two great locations in both Toronto and Guelph, we decided to visit him in Guelph. Located right in the historic downtown area we went for a quick little walk around as we talked shop and shared a few ideas we both had. It was a great experience as we have not spent much time in and around Guelph, but plan on doing so in the future. After showing us around the downtown are we headed back to his office which was nice and warm. Not knowing much about jewellery or how much work and craftsmanship goes into it, we were very impressed with learning a little about the behind the scenes aspects of it. Justin did a great job in taking the time to teach us a few pointers and share a little bit about his background and why he decided to get into his chosen field. It was a pleasure getting to know a little bit more about him and we can see why he is very successful. His attention to detail is very obvious from the time we spent together. You will be seeing a little bit more of Justin’s work on our clients hands in the future as we post their wedding and engagement sessions on our blog. See for yourself by checking out Wisdoms Jewellers.
