Studio Cabral Photo Walk

Studio Cabral Photo Walk

It is with great pleasure that we announce ” The Studio Cabral Photo Walk”. This is something that we have talked about for some time here at the studio, and we cannot wait to get the ball rolling. We are currently looking for participants to join us on what we are planning on being a monthly get to together and photo walk, plus it’s FREE. We will focus on a different area within the GTA for our walks so that we will have new and fresh images every time out. All you need is a DSLR camera and you can have a very limited knowledge of photography. We can show you a few tips along the way. So if you like taking photos and walking (maybe at the same time) let us know. We would be honored to have you with us on our first walk which is yet to be scheduled but we are targeting September of this year. Get in touch with us for further details.

Cherry Beach E Session – Jessica & Anthony

Cherry Beach E Session – Jessica & Anthony

Let’s face it in the past Toronto has not had many great location options for waterfront activities, but things have changed friends. One of our favorites is Cherry Beach. The benefits for this location are as follows…if it is a hot day chances are extremely good that Cherry Beach is 5-10 degrees cooler. There is always a hot dog vendor there 24/7, who also has some pretty good options for fries we must say. It is also a stones throw from the best view of the skyline of the world’s most awesome city, Toronto. PLUS…there is a pretty clean public washroom that you can use to change. Good choice for a location for Jessica and Anthony who had 3 different wardrobes for their recent engagement session. This session was a good one, we shared so many laughs. A perfect change of pace from planning a wedding. Our main objective is to have fun and create great images that you will cherish for years to come. For us it is not only the images themselves but the experience as well. It helps when you can remember how great it felt to have your photographs taken. These two have plenty of fun together and make an awesome couple as you can plainly see in these images. So without further words here are our top picks for the Cherry beach E session that we took for Jessica and Anthony.

Adelina & Ron – Pama Art Gallery

Adelina & Ron – Pama Art Gallery

This past February we had the honor of photographing Adelina and Ron’s wedding. They had a very intimate wedding with fewer than 75 people in attendance. Although it was a little bit on the chilly side we cannot complain, we live in Canada after all. All of the locations we went to throughout the day were in Brampton. Most if not all were within 10 minutes of each other by car. We decided to photograph the post ceremony images at our top choice spot while in Brampton for photography The Peel Art Gallery and Museum. Or as the kids like to call it PAMA. It is simple as to why we have a fondness for this particular location. There are multiple options within their walls and many more outdoors as well. Having an actual courtroom inside that you can photograph in is actually really cool. It is a very good option in the winter and or colder months within Peel if you like a more vintage look with great architecture. After the awesome indoor and outdoor shoot we headed up the street to Aria bistro and lounge for the reception. If you are ever there keep an out for the Beatles loveseat which is really cool. That is if you like the Beatles, and let’s be honest who doesn’t. Aria is a great place with a wonderful atmosphere, great food and a wonderful staff. We highly recommend it for an intimate wedding. Congratulations Adelina and Ron !!!

Marilyn & Danny – Adamson Estate

Marilyn & Danny Adamson Estate

This past weekend we had the absolute pleasure in being there for Marilyn and Danny’s special day. Just as we did in the past for countless other couples within both their families on their special day. We’re kidding we counted…6 couples that where in attendance for Marilyn and Danny’s wedding we had photographed. Just awesome seeing all those people together in one place. We still find it hard to get over how many peoples special days we have been a part of since 1987. It goes without saying that we are both humbled and grateful to be a part of all of them. Now to the wedding of Marilyn and Danny. Our first hurdle was trying to figure out the difference between Danny and his twin brother Manny, it was a good thing they had different colored vests that day, cause man it was tough. Although a few people did congratulate Manny instead of Danny. We can understand ,after you see the image with them side by side you can see why. The similarity in their names does not help either. Off to the brides where we see Marilyn looking awesome in her wedding gown along with all of the other bridesmaids, two of which are former brides. Marilyn was a little nervous but after a few minutes we had her laughing like it was just another Saturday morning watching cartoons…probably Thundercats or G. I Joe. After a little childhood nostalgia we headed to church to get these two crazy kids married. Any wedding ceremony is not complete without a tear being shed but this one came complete with a handkerchief being swiped by the bride (which we got for evidence). The post ceremony images were taken Adamson Estate for our first stop then off to Port Credit when it got a little crammed. I think everybody got married that day. We then raced north to the Mississauga Convention Centre just in time to beat a rather large thunderstorm that was passing through. Once again awesome food and an equally awesome staff at the MCC really helped the already great day we were having. Marilyn and Danny we wish you an awesome time in Aruba and we are looking forward to seeing you guys when you get back.

P.S…We hope Danny has already broken the news about the helicopter ride and you are totally cool with it Marilyn

Palais Royale’s 10th Anniversary

Palais Royale’s 10th Anniversary

We were very excited to be the official photographers for Palais Royale10th Anniversary as soon as we added it to our calender. To be able to be there and document this very prestigious venue’s anniversary was an absolute honor for us. The amount of details that were put into this event was simply stunning and at times breathtaking. Palais Royale has always honored their past and there were many hints of that throughout the evening, from decor to guests and staff. One of the best bands you can hire in Toronto Soular were there and they brought the house down. They even covered my current guilty pleasure by Coldplay “Adventure of a Lifetime”. Yes I was singing along while shooting. Some of our favorite details from the evening where brought forth by the Toronto Vintage Society. They really bring an essence of nostalgia that is unmatched within our awesome city. The food was awesome as it always is at the Palais Royale especially my all time favorite taco station. Their staff really know how to take care of people, they are the best in that business in Toronto.

It was truly a blessing to be there and connect with some wonderful people some we have know through out the years and a few we met that night. We look forward to enjoying this journey with Palais Royale for another 10 years and beyond. Congratulations to all of you at Pegasus Hospitality group for your great work and awesome service at the Palais Royale.
