Nicole & Michael – Mississauga Grand Wedding

Nicole & Michael – Mississauga Grand Wedding

The forecast called for rain, all day and plenty of it. From the moment we began the day it was raining. “I wish it could just stop for 3 hours, right in the middle of the day” I said to myself. As if someone had heard my wish was granted. Between 2pm and 5pm that day there was not a drop of rain. The exact time slot that I had hoped for. Before and after it was as if mother nature was making up for a dry summer.

With one photographer with Michael and the other with Nicole the day started off smooth. With no real need for a rush it was a laid back shoot on both ends of the city. After all the fun in the morning it was time to meet up at St. Helen’s church to get these two married. Michael actually only had to walk a few blocks to get to church as he was right around the corner. Nicole was en route through a rainstorm in a big bus.

After a fairly emotional ceremony filled with tears of joy we all packed up the big bus and headed to Mississauga and a visit to Adamson Estate on the lake shore. With my genie taking care of the weather and mother nature on a cigarette break we stayed the course and shot on. Our bridal party and entourage were briefed on not giving us any weather updates no matter how dark that cloud is getting. Like a dream come true we finished up and were on our way to the reception. Just as we entered Mississauga Grand the skies opened up and a large storm rolled through. We did not care anymore as we were safe and sound with over 400 of our closest friends ready to party.

It was great to work with Timeless Creative Decor and artist Paul Dolgov.

Evergreen Brickworks E Session – Christine & Justin

Evergreen Brickworks E Session – Christine & Justin

We had the opportunity to photograph at one of favorite locations within Toronto, the Evergreen Brickworks. We met Christine and Justin there on a extremely hot day a few weeks ago. It’s safe to say that the covered section with all that awesome graffiti was helpful in staying cool, in more ways than one. While dodging what seemed like thousands of children playing hide and seek we somehow managed to create some very different images on this e session. The Evergreen Brickworks has a well balanced contrast of backdrops that include a great green space as well as an urban feel all in one location. This is perfect for anyone who is having a hard time selecting a location for a shoot.

While trying to acknowledge the great contrast of the location we decided to take advantage of the wardrobe change. It is as if there were 2 very different sessions. If we had not told you it was the same place you would not have known. We really try to get on the same page with our clients in terms of what to wear and not to wear. It is always a plus when you can communicate what it is that you are looking to accomplish and it comes through for all to see with the images. This cool couple will be getting married next June in what is turning out to be a great year that will be jam packed with so many great clients. We are looking forward to getting to be there on their wedding day.

Adamson Estate E Session – Juliana & Joe

Adamson Estate E Session – Juliana & Joe

The early bird is the one that gets the worm, or so the story goes. Not even sure if anyone says that anymore, you should probably forget I just mentioned that. These two amazing people are getting married in 2018. If you think that is too far into the future you are wrong. Planning a wedding can be very difficult but if you spread it out a little bit it can be really fun. With that in mind Juliana and Joe are getting their wedding planning started as soon as possible, and with good reason. After booking their venue they gave us a call to book us and get their engagement session done before this summer was over. You gotta love that kind of enthusiasm.

Our early evening shoot took place and the wonderful Adamson Estate in Mississauga. Located right on Lake Ontario it has quite a few “top choice” locations for awesome images. If you like a little old world charm along the water this is the spot for you. It’s perfect for either e session or wedding day. This couple had a change of wardrobe planned and it was the perfect balance between formal and casual. It is always a good idea to have a contrast when a wardrobe change is involved. When done right you can get the best of both worlds.

With this couples style  cannot wait for what they come up with for their wedding day with all of these months to plan it. 2017 and 2018 are turning out to be great years filled with beautiful people to photograph. Just like every year before them here at Studio Cabral.

West End Toronto E Session – Ashleigh & Sean

West End Toronto E Session – Ashleigh & Sean

On quite possibly the hottest day ever we left the studio early in the morning for a West End Toronto E Session with Ashleigh and Sean. Instead of being afraid of the heat we embraced it. After all in about 14 weeks we will be shoveling snow. Such is life in the great city of Toronto. Plus if you get inside before 2 pm you should be fine. Like all of our shoots the positive tends to out way the negative.

We had complete control of where we headed and that’s the way we like it. We did have 2 requests though and they were very easy to follow. We want graffiti and a soccer field. Why you ask? Simple…they met through their youth soccer teams. As for graffiti? it’s just cool, and that’s a great reason. We passed by High Park and were lucky enough to find a few soccer goal posts WITH netting…awesome. One of our favorite spots for graffiti is easy to find especially if you use the subway in Toronto. We like to get out there often to check in on our friends Bruce and Alfred.

We couldn’t let the session end without grabbing a image with the skyline from your favorite city.
These two crazy kids are getting married in a few weeks and cannot wait for their wedding day. Just as long it is not as hot as their e session. Or we can get all the outdoor photography done before 2pm we should be good. But for these two we could deal with the heat one more time.
