Top 10 Wedding Movies

Top 10 Wedding Movies

We have been to a few weddings and we love movies so what better way to combine the two than to put together a top 10 wedding movies list for all of you awesome people. Before we get into it, if you do not know by now Hugh Grant holds a special place in my heart. His movies get higher grades than most and I am sorry but that’s just how it works. The list was made of movies that are influenced by events in and around weddings. There are even a few that have nothing to do with weddings at all. They just so happen to have a wedding take place during the movie itself.

We only had one criteria, and that was we had to have seen the movie. Some of the best actors of our generation are on this list. Steve Martin, Julia Roberts, Bradley Cooper, and of course Hugh Grant. I love me some Hugh. If we do not have you favorite on this list we are sorry but you can add your own top wedding movies right down below in the comments section. Enjoy this list which is complete with the trailers.

Your Wedding Questions Answered…Help Us Help You

Your Wedding Questions Answered…Help Us Help You

For a few months now we have been posting hopeful articles for you to get a better understanding of the wedding process. Before, after and especially during your wedding planning. We know that there are points during this journey when you need guidance as well as a helping hand. We want to be the point of reference for you to gain that knowledge that you need to reduce the stress of planning. Regardless if we are your wedding photographer or not.

With that being we can only write and discuss what we feel needs to be addressed. But there may be a few of you who may have specific questions that need to be answered. You could be having an issue with decor or even wedding etiquette. We want to help in all facets of the wedding planning. That is where you come in, only you know what you need answers to. If we could read minds we would be in a different business. But we know this business we have been in it for over 30 years.

If you could have one speed bump eliminated from your planning that could make a big difference. You may even have been married for a few years and feel that you would like to know a way in which you may have done something a little different. That something could have made a 10% difference in your day, a good 10% difference. We need to know what you want to know. Like Jerry Maguire asked “Help me, help you”. We all need help and there is nothing wrong with asking for it.

Our Wedding Reception Approach

Our Wedding Reception Approach

A wedding reception is meant to be shared with your guests. You do not need to be pulled away time after time to have a photograph taken. Enjoy yourself, it’s your wedding day. We have developed ways in which we can guarantee a wedding reception that will always have a bride and groom celebrating with their guests. It is not rocket science but we feel strongly that it is one of our secrets to success.

A very key point to a wedding is having family photographs with your loved ones. This will never change, however we fell that if you have a designated time for them you should always have time for the party afterwards. All you need to do is set aside 10-30 minutes prior to your reception to have family photos taken. No matter how many people there are this should be enough time. It will save you hours of stress on your wedding day. It also guarantees you will be on the dance floor for the Macarena.

Another very important series of images are those of the decor. These are taken before the doors open while the bride and groom are freshen up. The room is empty and is the nicest it will look all night. These are in some ways the most important images to the bride and groom as they may not see the entire room decorated before they enter it. We also make it a point to have all of the candles lit.

The wedding cake photos are a classic tradition that needs to have a time slot all it’s own. If you choose to do these during dinner that awesome. We however love to photograph this first, before anything else. Right after we arrive from the photographing on location and after the bride and groom freshen up. This is what we found to be the best time for it and it has worked this way since the early 90’s.

These few points will give you an entire evening of celebrations. One that will allow you to talk, dance, and make memories for years to come. We have never enjoyed pulling a bride and groom off the dance floor to take a photograph. If they were to ask us that’s something completely different. But we will not get in the way of their wedding celebrations.
