Victoria & David Mississauga Grand Wedding

Victoria & David Mississauga Grand Wedding

Our studio has been around since 1987 and in that time we have met and photographed countless awesome people who have become our friends. You can imagine the characters that have graced our studio walls with their awesome images. When Victoria and David came to book their wedding they brought David’s mother along not for moral support but to say hello to George who had photographed her wedding in the late 80’s. That’s right, we photographed David’s parents wedding. Now years later we are trusted once again by this family to capture their sons wedding day. We understand the significance of this situation and are honored by it. On this day we had our two friends time and trust on our hands and we captured awesome images with their help on this late June wedding day.

The fun started at David’s parents home were we took a trip down memory lane. While some of us went on a hunt for props we found an extensive comic book collection and a massive Beatles poster to use. After checking if we had died and gone to heaven we had to gather ourselves and go to Victoria and David’s home for the bride. She was a little excited but not as much as we were with all of the mirrors we could use. We love our reflections and the only problem we had was seeing ourselves in them. Although we do look awesome in photos we are not sure if the bride and groom want us in the photos incognito. Off to St. Mary’s church were we got into a little second camera action from the balcony that was really helpful for the not so easy angles.

This day we went on what we like to call a wedding photography freestyle location session, and yes we need a better name but we love the images captured on this day. From one to the other they are very different. No other city can give that location diversity as much as Toronto can and we LOVE it. From graffiti to breathtaking architecture this wedding had both and within walking distance. We even went really off the wall and used a parking garage for a few images below and if you read our blog you know what I am talking about. But our freestyle shooting ways came to an end as we had a party to attend in Mississauga at the Mississauga Grand and what a party it was.

Christine & Justin Millennium Gardens Wedding

Christine & Justin Millennium Gardens Wedding

A few weeks ago Christine and Justin were married at the Old Mill in Toronto. Although the wedding day itself had many moments of rain we managed to let this couples smiles brighten up our day. On any day you cannot control the weather, so there is no need to worry. You can only do your best and deal with it in your own positive way. Luckily this couple thought ahead with our help and had a few locations in mind for that exact reason. Planning ahead for the possibility of bad weather on your wedding day is always a top priority on our end.

The day started in Mississauga where these two got their days getting all pretty at their parents homes. With moms and dads looking on with pride we captured awesome memories and erased nerves as the time ticked away and they rain come and went and then came again. After sharing some laughs with our new friends in the bridal party we packed up and headed to Toronto and the Old Mill for the wedding ceremony. A ceremony at the Old Mill is always intimate and we love the ambiance that that location provides.

As the rain showered outside we navigated through out the Old Mill and took a few photos along the way. As we neared a door we found it to be fairly dry and had a few moments to get some fresh air and fresh images. After having a brief outdoor recess we jumped in our vehicles with Millennium Gardens in Brampton on our GPS. A quick photo booth set up and we still had a bit of time prior to the receiving line to grab a few more images without that pesky rain to deal with. We found some train tracks running through the area and our location was found. After practicing a profound level of safety we were ready to get the reception started and with our friend Nelson from Musik playing the tracks we knew the party would be awesome and it was.

How Choosing Us For Your Wedding Makes You A Super Awesome Person

How Choosing Us For Your Wedding Makes You A Super Awesome Person

Although we may not have met we know what you are looking for in your wedding photography. You like to have fun and smile for all of the right reasons with your family and friends present. You are in love and you are not afraid to show it, be it on the dance floor at your wedding reception or on a packed sidewalk downtown. A sense of tradition may intrigue you but you want your wedding images to be fresh and different. Does this sound like you?…If so you are most likely a super awesome person and would love to meet you to discuss your wedding. If you need a little bit more convincing we have the time don’t you worry.

A common comment we receive almost 90% of the time is how much fun couples have on any of our sessions. This could be an engagement session or even on their wedding day. We have a knack for getting rid of your pesky little wedding day nerves pretty quickly. There is nothing that you can throw at us that we haven’t dealt with. One day when someone is crazy enough to pay us we will write a book on weddings. We just haven’t had the time to come up with a topic. But if you need a reference on what it may be like just read a few Anthony Bourdain books. Start with Kitchen Confidential. Now back to you and your super awesomeness.

Weddings are really simple to explain but hard to navigate if it is your first time, or second and even third for that matter. You need someone to bring out that super awesome person you have inside and let them out. You love urban settings, rural empty roads, lush parks, the waterfront, bridges, or anywhere else you picture yourself on your wedding day. We love what you love and whatever puts a smile on your face we will smile back. There are no limits to creating great images that you will cherish for a lifetime and beyond (your children not the afterlife that’s a totally different thing).

Choosing us for your wedding makes you a super awesome person for one great reason… you are already have it. You just need someone to guide you and let loose. Your wedding needs to be a positive experience and that is what we do. The smiles that you can see on any of our images are not forced they are real. Real people photographed by real people creating honest wedding photography.

Josephine & John Port Credit E Session

Josephine & John Port Credit E Session

We met up with Josephine and John on a sweltering late Monday afternoon in Port Credit. With the access to a few of our choice spots blocked off still from the rising waters of Lake Ontario last month we went rogue and carved out new paths. Although I am making it sound more dramatic than it was we did manage to find ways around one or our favorite top 10 locations in Mississauga. With this couples bubbly personality we some how found a way once again to make it fell nice and easy as the couple mentioned on multiple occasions during their session.

With their wedding coming up in October on Thanksgiving weekend we got this couple ready with a bit of posing and a bit of candid that will help on the wedding day. An engagement session is always about getting to know how a couple interacts as well as the couple learning how to take photographs. Trust us, you don’t know until you get in front of pro photographer’s lens how free and easy having your photographs taken can and should be. For us it’s 10% business and 90% fun, give of take 10%.

Our favorite part of the session was when you could feel the nerves being shed and a go time was being had. It is like that at most of our sessions, the beginning you do not know what to expect and then you realize I’m not at the dentists office and I can relax…No offense to any dentist’s reading this but I am sure you understand. So when you get ready for a session with us don’t worry there will not be any drilling and we will not be doing a root canal, it’s just smiles and laughter. No need to be nervous, sit back relax and try not to laugh at our awesome jokes.
