Latest Studio Commercial Photography
Commercial shoots in the studio have picked up within the past few weeks. I guess it pays to post all of the images we capture through the day to day life of our studio. We are continually amazed that we are able to do what we love. It is very true that if you love your job you will never work a day in your life. Still we do get caught off guard with some of the things we are asked to photograph. Each morning we wake up and ask ourselves what awesome object will we see walk through our doors today.
It is always a great start to your week when someone from a comic book shop passes by on a Monday morning and asks you to photograph toys for a soon to be named online store they are working on. Truth be told I do lean more towards DC rather than Marvel but we can’t be too picky I suppose. When you actually get paid to play with toys you are doing something right. If my 8 year old self could only see me now. My 8 year old self would not care for the coffee we photographed but my current self does love me some coffee. No humans before coffee according to my favorite mug.
We also had the privilege to do a little work for a chef once again working on a cookbook. He needed a few images to use in between the recipes in this upcoming book. On a late Wednesday afternoon were introduced to a pestle and mortar and how to actually use it correctly. At this point we are not quilting our day job. One of the more interesting shoots we did was for an antiques dealer who want to stop an online store. We had a chance to photograph anything and everything cool. But the most awesome was the little Dracula, Frankenstein and Wolf Man busts we snuck into the shot. For the finished product we went for an old time photo look that we feel fit the situation well.
