How did the two of you meet?
We both had gone to St Matthew’s Church. Paul went for his cousin’s communion and I went for my sister’s communion. Paul saw me from across the church and wondered who I was and usually when you see someone somewhere you never see them again. A few months later Paul saw me again in high school in the hall way and was shocked to see me, but he was too nervous to say anything. The next school year my cousin had just started the same high school as us. I was in grade 10 and Paul was in grade 12. My cousin had become friends with Paul and his friends and she had finally introduced us and since that moment we had become high school sweethearts.
How long have you been together ?
We have been together just over 8 years
Tell us about your favorite date together.
All of our dates were memorable. But I think our favorite is when we went to Dominican, it was Paul’s first plane ride and we had just got engaged. It was our first all inclusive resort, which was upbeat, fun & where we laid on the beach & pool side making our first wedding plans.
What is your favorite thing about one another?
His intelligence and kind personality. His smile and the way he makes me glow when I see him and not to forget his cleanliness who doesn’t want a super clean man!
Her personality, smile and willingness to put me ahead of her own personal needs. There’s too many things that I love about her, but I’m very blessed to have such a beautiful wife.
How did he propose?
We had got to my house and we were going to go to dinner, so Paul asked me to go get changed into something nice. As I was in my room, Paul was downstairs asking my parents for my hand in marriage and of course they gave him their approval. We didn’t end up going for dinner after all instead we went for a walk at Sunnyside on Lakeshore late at night and once we walked on the white bridge Paul got on one knee and asked me to marry him and I said YES. Unfortunately, I had known the whole time, everything seemed so obvious but was still very romantic.
