How We Really Feel About Props

You all may want to pay attention to this as we are going to let you know HOW WE REALLY FEEL ABOUT PROPS. If you haven’t noticed maybe (because you live under a rock) but props are very slower becoming a thing in wedding and engagement photos. Couples are continually out doing each other with funny little letters and those great ” I said yes” signs. The truth is we are actually OK with the “prop issue”. The one concern that we do have and always try to tell our clients that you should still have a session to be about the two of you. If we had to give a safe number of props we would go with any number from 3 to 5. You can still have fun using them and holding those signs within each other’s hands but once you go over 5 you are entering an entirely different level. You run the risk of making the session all about the props and not about the two of you and your love for one another. Unless you are marrying the props at which point you should stop reading right now. We all love to have fun and try something different and there is really no harm in using any props. Just try to keep it within the safe area of 3 to 5 props. Also it is important to note that much like in life it self size does not matter. You are allowed to have really massive or teeny tiny, it’s completely up to you.
