Four Season Engagement Session – Marcia & Jason
When you cannot come to a decision as to what season to have your engagement session in, the simple answer is all of them. This of course works out allot better when you have well over a year before the big day. Marcia and Jason started to plan their wedding well over 18 months ago, perfect amount of time to get 4 sessions in with very different looks. Living in Toronto a four season engagement session works out well, because we all know that the weather will change quick in the six. But you do need a little bit of planning and a few phone conversations have to be had so that everyone is on the same page.
Whenever our clients are looking for a 4 season session we go over wardrobe, timing, locations and most importantly does this location mean something to you. Once that is all taken care of the real fun starts… the image creating. First off Summer and Spring look the same and you can very well go to many of the same places unless it’s a specific location such as the CNE which is on for 2 weeks only. The distillery district is an awesome spot to photograph and is especially appropriate if the BIG question was asked right there. That was our final shoot and it had it’s moments. Pokemon Go just came out and we had a minor interruption or 7 as people were eagerly looking for things that we couldn’t see…it sort of reminded me of high school.
Fall is the most popular time of year for outdoor photography for the colors alone and it is worth it. The only issue is that in some years those colors are only there for a limited time. It’s like mother nature’s way of having a sale…this week only FALL COLORS !!! Winter is the most difficult season of them all. Not because of the cold, but because it is very difficult to time a snowfall correctly. Not to worry you just need to be on call and ready whenever a good snowfall hits. It could be a Wednesday at 4pm, just be ready. Below you will find our favorite 10 images from 4 sessions taken over 12 months.
