Favorite Studio Images – Harding Waterfront Estate

One of our favorite images form last year comes from Ashley and Gitano’s wedding at Harding Waterfront Estate. The day was a tad stressful as we had to worry about rain constantly through out the day. This stress adds up quickly especially for the bride and groom whom have been planning this one day for months if not years. But the weather is something that none of us can control as we all know. There a little tricks and cheats to allow us to capture great images even as the rain falls but there is only so much you can do.

As well as the rain we had an intimate venue that holds both the ceremony and reception on the same grounds. Not much time to get away from the guests and have a little alone time to create awesome images. But where there is a will there is a way and we always find a way. We wanted the couple to be alone and to allow the day and magnitude of it to sink in. As anyone knows that wedding day can be a little too much and any moment taken to absorb and reflect on it is appreciated. We felt that Ashley and Gitano could use a little alone time, so a plan was set into to motion.

While everyone was distracted with the cocktail hour and open bar we snuck around the back down a dark forest passage way. What was at the end of the path we knew was worth the walk as we had scouted the location well before hand. But our couple had no idea what was ahead. But they were not worried as they filled in their conversation with the days events and how much they appreciated a little one on one time. Then we reached the lake and a private beach for two, with no one else in sight. After 10 minutes of alone time skipping stones along the water and conversation we needed to get back to reality and the reception to follow.
