I knew Manny and his trouble maker friends back when I was 16. My best friend, being the maid of honor, Barbara, was dating his best friend. I never liked him and his friends because they caused trouble, LOL. So 16 years later, 32 years old, I decided to go on POF (Plenty of Fish.com), a dating site. Signed up in April 2006. Well, guess who was on that site, Manny. So we sent a few messages back and forth. We met on May 3, 2006 at his mother’s place and started dating on May 6, 2006 and it goes from there. We been together since then.
On Christmas Eve 2009, he proposed to me at my parents’ house. Very nervously, he was waiting in the living room for me to come in and when I went back into the living room, he went on one knee in front of my family and asked me to marry him. And of course, I said yes and we all cried tears of joy. Like my sister said, it’s about time.
My favorite thing about Fatima is that she is always there for me no matter what, emotionally, mentally, and physically. It’s hard to find someone like her because she welcomed me and my 3 children with open arms.
My favorite thing about Manny is that he is very open with his feelings and is not afraid to express any type of emotion to me from sadness to happiness. He’s one of a kind who treats my son like his own.
One of our favorite dates was when we went to Niagara Falls for his 34th birthday in July just after we met. We spent the whole day there and had alot of fun especially going into Nightmares haunted house. When we walked in the pitch black scared to death, I held onto him for dear life especially having some scary looking dude behind me the whole time making freaky noises. We laughed so much because we both screamed like girls, lol.
The relationship that I have with Studio Cabral started in July 1985, my brother’s wedding, just before George even opened up the Studio and since then, it’s been weddings, communions, and so on. I couldn’t ask for a better photographer’s like George and Chris, both of them made my wedding day. The pictures just get better and better. It’s like a family tradition, my brother, my sister, myself, my cousins, and trust me, my nieces are already talking about you being their photographer.
We would like to thank you for taking so many pictures. They are all beautiful and I couldn’t ask for anything better. I am missing one person from those pictures, which is my brother Flori. Rest in peace, until we meet again.
Thanks guys,
Fatima and Manny
All of us at Studio Cabral wish Fatima and Manny all the best in their new life together.
