Destination Wedding Part 3
What is your favorite thing about one another?
*Mark* – My favourite thing about Vanessa is that she is always along for
the ride no matter how crazy it is. More importantly, she is super smart,
always challenges me and I especially love how she lets me think I am
smarter than her 😉
*Vanessa* – My favourite thing about Mark is his creativity and sense of
humour. He has a different way of thinking about things and is always
dreaming up new ideas… he makes me laugh everyday and when we are
together there is never a dull moment.
How did he propose?
I had been away for 3 weeks on a road trip for work and when I returned,
Vanessa was working extremely long hours… so I suggested that we get away
to Niagara Falls for a few days to spend some time together. When we got
there, I discreetly told the lady at reception that it was a special
evening and we got a kick ass room upgrade! It was late Thursday night and
we were sitting on the couch, having some drinks and watching NCAA March
Madness (go UCLA!) in the hotel room. I had the ring in my pocket and was
waiting for the right time to pop the question. Vanessa had her legs on my
lap and I was afraid she was going to feel the ring in my pocket (or break
it) so I pulled the ring out on a commercial break and said “look what i
found…” and asked her to marry me. We got to enjoy the rest of the
weekend together without any interruptions since we didn’t tell anyone
about the engagement until we got back to town.
