Ashley & Bryan Engagement Session At James Gardens
Ashley and Bryan are getting married in September and they love scenery and all things to do with spring. The green on the trees the flowers blooming as well as the cherry blossom’s sprouting. They picked the perfect location for an e session, one in which all of the things just mentioned were checked off. To top it off that is where Bryan proposed to Ashley last summer. “I wanted a place that would be special and one that we have never been before” he said. Ashley thought something was up but played along and the rest is history as they old folks say.
We have not been to James Gardens in quite sometime but if this were the 1990’s we would be there photographing every weekend. We may bring this location back as we found it to be very comfortable for us to photograph. Why not? some of you are listening to music on LP’s right now. We felt nostalgic as we walked through the gardens as we could remember many, many weddings photographed there. For a traditional couple as Ashley and Bryan confessed to being it was the perfect spot.
Our favorite part came when we spotted a cluster of cherry blossom trees in full bloom. It was right as we entered the gardens that we first noticed them but saved the i ages till the end. We let the ideas mount within us as we progressed through the session, then came upon them once again just before we were completed. We set up a few really nice images and captured this couple from a far as they enjoyed some alone time. Then we came in close and set up what we are calling the snow in spring shot. We included the “storm” at it’s worse below but ended with one of our early favorites of 2017.
