Julie & Mike’s Canadian Warplane Museum wedding was so awesome that you can see the love through the images but you will laugh through their own words throughout this post.
How did the two of you meet?
Where we least expected!! We met @ Julie’s workplace.Mike was doing a service call, while Julie thought this to be the perfect opportunity to check out “the service guy”
How long have you been together ?
We’ve known each other for about 8 years, after the cat & mouse chase, it became official in 2010, so, 4 years of crazy fun with each other! 🙂
Tell us about your favorite date together.
Mike cooked us an amazing dinner (with the help of a friend who peeled a ridiculous amount of garlic) After dinner, surprise trip to Scarborough Bluffs. he said “I Love You” underneath the most starry night I’ve ever seen. It was almost unbelievable, but perfect in every way!
What is your favorite thing about one another?
Opposites definitely attract …… therefore we balance each other out real well. From emotions, daily activities, decisions, and everything in between …… we always find a way to make it all work.
How did he propose?
He lied to me (that’s not a good start is it?!?!?) It was a trick, and an amazing trick it was! He was always working out of town & he was finally home for a bit. He suggested to watch the sunrise down at Scarborough Bluff (This meant having to wake up EXTRA early …..ughhhhhh!!! – But, I agreed!) Rise & Shine and on the highway at 4:00AM. WE arrive, and he was speed walking to go to our ” I Love You” spot only to find a film crew set up and without hesitation, they kicked us out of that area. Mike was beyond pissed off (I giggled through the confusion, but wondered as to why he was SO angry-he’s usually calm & cool????)
Found some huge rocks to sit on after a rushed trek through a field covered in garbage, candy wrappers, tattered clothing, other people’s unmentionables, beer cans & a burnt down picnic table! (this doesn’t seem safe and romantic at all!) …….. 5AM – SUNRISE!! While setting up his phone to capture “us watching the sunset”, he was secretly fumbling around in his pocket for the ring box. “Please don’t drop it in the water”
Fast forward …… he asked! I obviously said YES, who wouldn’t want to spend forever with this guy!?!?! We enjoyed the scenery a bit more, then a surprise trip to the Toronto Zoo! Pandas, Red-Pandas, Peacocks, other cute animals, a FIANCE & a pretty bling on my finger?!?!?! One happy, lucky girl and I still am.
