How did the two of you meet?
I moved into the neighbourhood in 2006, we would see eachother here and there but never communitcated with one another. One day in January 2007 I was at tim hortons with my friends, and we met up with another group of people. Steven was one of the passengers in the other car. We just looked at eachother and that was it. Nothing happened that night. A couple days later I received a msg from facebook from a steven verde. In this msg he asked me if I was the one at tim hortons and if I lived on his street. From that conversation we started talking and hanging out but just as friends. I never really saw anything in him at that point. He got fed up and stopped talking to me. A couple months go by and it’s the Portuguese festival at bellwoods, randomly steven and I started talking again, we went to the festival together both days, and at the time he had a girlfriend. He left his girlfriend after that weekend, we started talking more and then we started dating.
How long have you been together ?
We have been together for about 4 ½ years now. Since July 2007
Tell us about your favorite date together.
Our favourite date will have to be the time where we went to the drive in. watching a movie through a drive in gave us time to talk and just have fun without having to worry about others telling us to quiet down.
What is your favorite thing about one another?
I think the favourite thing about one another is that we are both understanding of one another, our personalities are very similar and we have fun together.
How did he propose?
It was New years eve and we went to a friends house to celebrate. I could tell there was something that was going to happen because everyone was just acting weird, especially steven. When it came down to the countdown, I couldn’t find steven anywhere,within the last few seconds everyone made space around me and Steven came to be and at midnight he went down on one knee and asked me to marry him.
